In this manual you will not need ROOT access on your Android, you will only need an Android 5.0 or higher terminal.
You must first open the WPSApp application, and for which functions you must have the device location activated. Once you have entered the app you must select the icon that appears at the bottom right to start the network scanning.
You are asked to allow WPSApp access to device location, you must Allow it.
After this, you will see a list of available networks that are around you.
To the left of each network is shown the strength of the Wi-Fi signal, its name, the mac and the security encryption.
On the right, you have the channel in which the signal is transmitted and an icon that can be an interrogation, a red cross or a green check.
Icons meanings
Each icon means one thing, for example:
- The question mark icon indicates that it is likely or not to obtain the password for that network. It is generally difficult.
- The red cross indicates that you will not be able to get the password for that network.
- And finally, the green check means that if you are going to be able to get that network’s password.
Select the network with the most signal and with the green check icon. An information window appears in which you can see the name, mac, security encryption, etc. again.
In the information window you have a series of options that are enabled or not. This depends on whether you are a ROOT user or not.
You have to select the option «Connect with PIN (No ROOT).
The application tries to connect to that network. If it manages to connect to the network, it shows you an informative window which says:
Correct connection: The password cannot be displayed because you are not a ROOT user but the connection was successful.
If you are a ROOT user, the password could be displayed.
Check now in the settings of your terminal if you are really connected to that Wi-Fi network.
It’s that easy to connect to a Wi-Fi network and verify the security of your network.
